and the third. plus bloated fourth. Fifth was a good one! Sixth a quick bio-peek.. Seventh started from the RAI-Sun. Then the eighth was scared of the mouse that returned, wrote long e-mails to Finland pulling life together, survived the utterly orange Queen's Day to return here to dream about home and grandmother's baking with friends back home. Ninth saw some pictures and got ill, disappearance from the net and fever and stuff happened. Brother came, sun was shining, tenth happened and was away for long. Eleventh is even less intense .. you know what it means?
Have been around, a lot at home, where came out (it is possible now, we're connected!) the stuff that opens from a mail that was for the villagers round the world about an-Inet'98 Intro and Issues. No answers yet, except from Finland of course.
Lost in Amstelveen. God this life :)
I've sometimes talked a lot about how the different languages we have find different purposes in our lives.
First example was this friend of mine, who's a Swedish speaking Finn (our only established minority there) who studied international marketing in the States/Canada in English, has been an enterpreneu in German speakin Switzerland and masters it fluently. He speaks Finnish with us, Swedish with his family, both with business people in Finland, is most comfortable with English when it comes to marketing but can also use German for work.
I once read somewhere, that every time you learn a new language you find a new personality in yourself. I've studied - apart from my Finno-Ugrian native Finnish - only Germanic languages namely the obligatory Swedish and English, German and now some Dutch. Gee.
Is it so that the Latin / Roman / Oriental whatever parts of me, which being a global.netppl.fi should exist, are now lost?
(i wonder where this came from and why here?) Oh now I remember! Yesterday, Wednesday that is, I sent my first clearly bilingual e-mail for a Belgian friend of mine who learned Finnish during the stay in Helsinki last year. We speak / write both English and Finnish (and a little bit of Flamish/Dutch, less than would be good) now. In this message you can see how the first part, studying, happened in English but the later private (important) part about travelling and being in places came in Finnish.
Also a flow about doing-thinking-dreaming-ideas-life-people-inspiration-plans happened. The original the friend wrote was brillian - the version here is polluted by me. cu
